Singing Our Hope
One of the only things that has helped lift the weight of the craziness we are in is singing praise to God. When I lose myself in musical praise and worship, my soul is filled with hope. I cannot explain it but, I think in those moments, my truest self is emerging, a loved son of the Father. God inhabits the praises of His people. A sad reality of this time is that we’ve missed being together to SING. My challenge is sing anyway. At this moment in history, you don’t have to have a lick of musical talent. You can be as a-musical (that’s a made up word to say lack of musicality) as your pastor and still you can sing with amazing talent behind your effort. Don’t sing because your song is beautiful. Sing because your Savior is beautiful. Sing because you love Him. Sing because of His love for you. Sing for your own soul’s benefit. Lift your voice for its Creator. The praise that emerges is for Him. If you let your soul sing, Your Living Hope will be made a bigger, brighter reality.
