Joy: Day 5
The redeemed have a wonderful promise offered to them here in Isaiah. We will enter God’s city and presence with singing and everlasting joy! Gladness and joy will be ours while sadness leaves us. This is our blessed hope-that one day, no matter what comes, we will know joy forever. Still, this wonderful promise that is ahead shouldn’t just be a bright someday. Knowing what is ours in the future should give us joy even now. We are redeemed. We have been saved from death, hell, and Satan’s evil plan. The reality of these truths should sink deep into our spirits and give us everlasting joy beginning in this moment for now and forevermore. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Let sorrow and mourning flee away. God has extended His grace and salvation to us. Let us be filled with joy and singing at the marvelous thing He has done.
Prayer focus: Thank God for His redemption so full and free, that is ours in Christ. Ask God to restore to you the joy of your salvation, His everlasting joy and a song in your heart today.
